Where the Neighborhood Comes Alive
Yogi's Home Plate has always been more than a sports bar — it's a gathering spot where live music, fight nights, and holiday celebrations bring Lake Highlands together. From regular Thursday night acts to big UFC viewings with the sound cranked up, there's always something happening.
Past events have included everything from Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day gatherings to Halloween parties and New Year's Eve celebrations. Themed days like National Taco Day and National Drink Beer Day have also been part of the lineup.
Live Music
Thursday nights at Yogi's have featured live music, with acts like Route 66 becoming a regular fixture. The stage has hosted performances that keep the energy high and the crowd coming back week after week.
Past performances ran from early evening into the night, giving guests plenty of time to enjoy dinner, drinks, and the show.
Fight Nights
UFC events have been a staple at Yogi's, with no cover charge and full sound throughout the bar. A past highlight: UFC 257 — Poirier vs. McGregor 2 — drew a packed house on a Saturday night in January 2021.
These viewing parties ran from evening until midnight, making Yogi's a go-to spot for fight fans in Dallas.
Holiday Celebrations
Yogi's Home Plate has marked the calendar with festive gatherings throughout the year. Past holiday events included Mother's Day and Memorial Day brunches, Cinco de Mayo parties, Halloween bashes, Christmas celebrations, and New Year's Eve toasts — many running from late morning until midnight or beyond.
National food and drink holidays — Pizza Day, Taco Day, Drink Beer Day, and Bourbon Day — have also been celebrated with enthusiasm.
